SEPTEMBER 2020

On September 26, participants nationwide will be celebrating St. Jude’s first-ever virtual walk/run event in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Eventus Solutions Group has created a corporate team to join the virtual event this year and will be matching all contributions for our team dollar for dollar. With the support and donations toward our 18 members, we’ve been able to raise 80% of our fundraising goal and have become the top fundraising team in the Denver area this month! With your help and support, we can continue to fundraise and spread awareness in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
This year the walk is virtual and will include augmented reality, a tour of the hospital, a virtual scavenger hunt on walk day, and more. All of these experiences can be found on the free St. Jude Walk/Run app for iPhones and Androids.
What isn’t changing this year – the impact of your donations and support. Your donations are making it possible for St. Jude to lead the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. By helping our team through donations, you help St. Jude ensure that families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food. By showing support for Children’s Cancer Awareness Month, we’re able to provide education and awareness for these children and the devastating reality they’re having to face at such a young age. Children’s Cancer Awareness Month is symbolized by a gold ribbon and can be worn throughout the month to show support and commemorate the event.
Now I know what you’re thinking, “well, if there is already a team set up, how am I supposed to help?” I’m so glad you asked! Linked below, you’ll find our team page that includes our group fundraising goal, as well as each individual’s fundraising goals and testimonials.
Many team members have had the opportunity to work with the St. Jude during their annual walk-a-thon for years, including Jeff Tropeano. “I’ve had the honor and privilege of working with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for 3+ years now, and it is an experience that changes your life for the better and serves as a constant reminder of the things that are truly important in life.”
Team member Craig Tobin is encouraging us to “come together as one for those who need us most. Because together, nothing is impossible.” He reminds us that “even in challenging times, the lifesaving work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital continues,” and through our support and donations, we can continue to do just that.
